Caffeine in Pregnancy
Doctors suggest that consuming caffeine during pregnancy, in normal amounts is safe; that is 2–4 cups of coffee or tea a day (200 mg caffeine). However if it is consumed in excess, caffeine during pregnancy may be at risk of leading to miscarriage, the baby being born too early or being stillborn.
The caffeine tracker can be useful in helping you assess how much caffeine you might be consuming in your diet. To start, select the beverage type listed below and click 'Add'. When in doubt, do consult with your doctor.
